I have been asked "Why do we need to attend meetings?".  The MATPA is made up of volunteers and therefore members are not required to go to meetings, but it does give an opportunity to voice your opinion.  It also is a chance to help the club move forward and stay current on topics of debate/change.  The club is only as good as the involvement of it's members.  I realize that many times meeting topics may not relate to your class, but every change in class rules effects the entire club.  Because of this, it was voted in that when we need track help, those members who do not attend meetings will be put onto the list first.  Beyond that, those members who sign up late at a pull (or pulls) will be moved to the front of that list.  Members who refuse to do assigned tasks will not get their hook points for that event.  If helping the club is not enough motivation to get to the meetings, maybe this will be.  As a club we need to spend more time and energy putting on a "Good Show".  Any ideas or suggestions for improving our show are greatly appreciated.

It was decided that Superstocks would retain a 36% hitch length to keep in line with the surrounding clubs and "non clubs".  We will be discussing ways to easily identify hitch position (%) for those trucks that pull 4WD Modified and alter their hitch to the 30% wheelbase allowance for that class.

Our fellow pullers in Southern New England have updated theirs as well.  Please check them out at www.snetpa.com.
